Mission 50 for DKMS

Claire is 'Woman on a Mission'

Claire is a former oncology nurse and a proud ambassador for DKMS.

In February 2022 Claire turned 50 and, not content with relaxing with a glass of bubbly, she set off on her biggest mission yet…Mission 50!

Claire will be taking on various challenges, everything from a skydive with her children to organising a local fun run, to raise vital funds and awareness for DKMS. In total, Claire is aiming to raise £50,000 - that’s enough to fund the registration of 1,250 potential lifesavers - and she won’t stop taking on epic missions until she gets there!

Searching for a match

Every year 2,000 people in the UK with blood cancer or a blood disorder are waiting for a potentially lifesaving stem cell transplant. Finding a matching donor can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. DKMS is dedicated to getting as many people on the stem cell register as possible, increasing the chances of a successful transplant. It costs us £40 to register each potential lifesaver and we rely on our amazing supporters, like Claire, to help raise these funds.

How you can help

You can support Mission 50 by registering as a potential lifesaver on the red ‘Become a donor’ button, or by donating to Claire’s fundraising page by making a gift (below). All proceeds will be sent to DKMS.
